FIPS 140-2 certification verifies that all file transfer and file sharing operations provided by Accellion are performed in a highly secure and safe environment. In order to comply with SSL 3.1/TLS1.0 requirements, a FIPS 140-2 certified solution requires a stricter and cryptographically stronger cipher suite, which is currently available on IE7 (and higher) and Firefox 2 (and higher) browsers.
