 ServerProtect for Network Appliance™ filers provides a
comprehensive antivirus solution for Network Appliance filers. Managed
through an intuitive management console, the software provides centralized
virus scanning, pattern updates, event reporting, and antivirus configuration.
Virus scanning takes place in separate scan servers running Windows 2000/NT.
Multiple ServerProtect scan servers can be registered with one filer to
provide better scan performance.
Data storage systems provide scalable and reliable storage for the enterprise,
however storage systems can be just as vulnerable to virus attacks if infected
files are saved to them by even one user. Viruses can be downloaded into
other desktops, infect new files, and can be stored back into the storage
system where the process is repeated. An entire network attached storage
system containing large volumes of centralized data, and all clients attached
to it, can be quickly compromised. |
